Keano to move on

Roy Keane believes he will leave Old Trafford at the end of the current season.The skipper told MUTV on Thursday night: "I think I'd like to play on for another year but I don't think it will be at United. "My contract's up at the end of the season and I don't think United will offer me another one.That's just my gut feeling on this. "If David Gill rings me tomorrow and offers me another year, then we'll see! But I'm not putting a gun to anybody's head and I've never gone looking for new contracts - I've always felt that's up to the club."Last season I thought this would be my last year and I still feel that way," he added."I think there's a danger of staying on too long and maybe one or two people feel I've probably stayed a year too long anyway."If I was to be offered a new contract, I think United would probably wait as long as possible, towards the end of the season. But I think by then I'll have made up my mind as to what I'm going to do and I'll maybe have sorted something out in January. "I will be 35 in the summer and there are good players coming through at United and the time would be right [to leave]."Roy is far from being gloomy at the prospect of leaving the club where he's spent 12 glorious years. If anything, he seems to relish the thought of garnering new experiences as he builds his CV for a possible coaching career.

Phil Bardsley is looking to cash in after getting his big break against Benfica. Bardsley, 20, was still buzzing with excitement as he said: "The manager told me I was playing an hour before kick-off. It is all about taking your chance and I hope he thinks I did that. Now I want to start at Fulham."

Ronaldo Ready To Sign

Cristiano Ronaldo is now ready to commit his long-term future to Manchester United. Ronaldo, 20, is currently just 18 months into a five-year contract. But the wing wizard — signed for £12million from Sporting Lisbon in August 2003 — is so happy at Old Trafford, he already wants to extend his stay. He said: “I expect to sign a new contract as quickly as possible. I want to stay for many years.” The Portuguese ace starred against fellow countrymen Benfica to help lift the gloom currently hanging over United. He added: “We wanted to win and to make a good impression — and we achieved that. After they equalised, we got on top of them and I hit the post. United were the better team and we deserved to win."

Remove captaincy from Scholesy!!!

Scholes is good as a player. But Manchester United has never won when Scholes skipper the side. Scholes is not captaincy Material. I believe Giggs will take up captaincy for the mid-week clash against Benfica as he did when Keane was brought off against liverpool. Giggs should replace Park Ji-Sung. The trio of Ruud, Roon and Park failed yesterday as they lost 1-2 to blackburn. Rooney should have started from the start since he wasn't going to play in midweek. What is Ferguson thinking??? Ruud still got on the scoresheet so he is not to blame fully although he missed a few clear cut chances. Scholes is to take the blame for giving away the second goal. It was he who said they can't drop stupid points. It is not, United must not drop stupid points, it's Scholes must not drop stupid points.

Barcelona fear that Arsenal or Manchester United are poised to snatch Mexican starlet Giovanni Dos Santos - dubbed the new Ronaldinho - from under their noses. Both Premiership giants have been tracking the 16-year-old, and could snatch him away from the Spanish champions. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer vows he will be back and scoring for Manchester United. The Norwegian striker has been out for over a year with a career-threatening knee injury. He has had two operations, having broken down on his way to recovery. But the hero of the 1999 European Cup final is determined Reds fans have not seen the last of him. Solskjaer, 32, said: “There has been a setback and they have been back inside the knee to have a look. It has not been the same problem but it means that the old injury has been set back a few weeks in healing. But I will be right. I’m hopeful to be back training on November 1. Neville Undergoes Operation
Gary Neville will be missing for an extra six to seven weeks after undergoing an operation on his groin injury on Thursday.The 30-year-old defender, who suffered the injury in Hungary against Debreceni, will resume training towards the end of October, and will need a further two to three weeks to recover match fitness.Neville had been training all week but broke down on Thursday, prompting the coaching staff to send him for the operation. The Bury-born right-back has suffered the injury on previous occasions, and it is hoped that the operation will end his problems once and for all."We've had a few set-backs," Ferguson conceded. "His operation on Thursday night was a blow for us. "But I think we have done the right thing. The injury had reoccurred too many times, and when he broke down in training on Thursday morning we knew we had to act."Hopefully when he comes back it will be for the rest of the season without any further hindrance. Real Madrid star striker hails Manchester United's dutch striker as the best in the world. A deadly finisher and a predator in the 20 yard box, he hails the Ruud, Rooney partnership will become the most feared in europe or even the world. With ruud a goalscorer in the box and Rooney a goalscorer from...anywhere, the two strikers rub of each other and proves to be a winning team. Even when it's not his season, Ruud van Nistelrooy has managed to nick 20 goals while, when he is on form,like he is now, he can score 47 goals(evidence in the 2003-2004 title winning campaign). With Ruud and Roo, and even Roon, United will threaten this season, both in England and in Europe.

Wayne Rooney has accused his former boss Peter Kenyon of showing a "lack of respect" by claiming Chelsea will walk away with the Premiership this season. And the England striker insisted Manchester United have got the quality to wrest back the title from Stamford Bridge this season. Former Old Trafford chief executive Kenyon claimed even before the big kick-off last month that this season's champions will come from "a small bunch - of one". Computer finally fixed

Whoo! My com is fixed! Reformatting. Now can go MSN! Can check E-mail! Can enjoy!

Tonight is the big manchester Derby. City vs united. And it marks the first time I'm taking part in the NFC Football manager. I, as a frequent visiter to the Manu site, know that Cristiano Ronaldo is not playing. He is given Compassionate leave to mourn the death of his 46 year oild father. My prayers go out to them. I see Man U winning this. Not easily, but maybe another 2-0 or 3-0 win. I have a gut feeling that man u will score 3 for the first time in epl this season. Although Man city has played well. You won't win at old trafford pals... Sorry. More predictions below.
