Arsenal are on fire, thrashing Reading at the Majeski where Man U and Chelsea only drew 1-1 and won 1-0. Everton are strong but can't hold a candle to Arsenal.
Arsenal 3 vs 0 Everton

Bolton have not conceeded at home and United are on a winning streak. The best defence vs the best attack. This would be a fantastic clash. Tight and unpredictable.

Big Guns victorious in Carling Cup

Manchester United, Newcastle United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool all enjoyed victories in the midweek carling cup match up. All but two of the big guns fielded a full first team squad but despite that, they were victorious.

Liverpool perhaps was the most unconvicing of the lot edging newly promited Reading 4-3. Chelsea beat Blackburn 2-0 with only Shevechenko dropped from the side. They played an experimental 3-5-2 formation which paid of at Ewood Park.

Newcastle performed fantastic after their home win against high flying Portsmouth. A debut for Giussepi Rossi, on loan from United, paid of after he opened the game's scoring with Nolberto Solano scoring 2 after that.

The 2 big guns who fielded a understrength side were Manchester United and Arsenal. Arsenal strolled to victory against West Bromwich whilst Manchester United needed a late extra time strike by debutant Keiran Lee 1 minute from a penalty shootout. Aliadiere scored a double for Arsenal the previous night.

Other results was Tottenham comfortable 5-0 over MK Dons and Charlton kicking out Bolton with Darren Benr's strike.

Carling Cup Fourth Round Draw
Birmingham City v Liverpool
Chelsea v Aston Villa
Chesterfield v Charlton
Everton v Arsenal
Notts County v Wycombe Wanderers
Southend v Manchester United

United we stand

Wigan Atheltic 1
Baines 5'
Manchester United 3
Vidic 62'
Saha 66'
Solskjaer 90+3'

Through thick and thin, they stand united. That was the attitude that saw them come from behind to hammer Wigan 3-1. After Baines fired Wigan to the lead with a superb free kick. Manchester United did not look at their best in the first half and the game was tough to watch for United fans.

But through thick and thin, United fans should stand by their team. Those who turned of their television missed the United revival. Ryan Giggs came on to turn the game on it's head.

United owned the second half. Immediately after the restart, Solskjaer and Saha got close. Until the 61st minute when Vidic's equaliser and first United goal atarted the comeback. Louis Saha continuing his fine form by scoring the 2nd goal by controling and finishing in 1 swoop. Solskjaer finished the post international game with a deflected shot to round of a fine game for United and Rooney.
